
Liz Goulding
CPO at The Economist
Liz Goulding, Chief Product Officer at The Economist, drives digital strategy and growth across the Group’s portfolio. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, she oversees the design, development, and customer experience of digital products, including spearheading new AI-driven initiatives for The Economist and Economist Impact. In addition to her product leadership, she serves as Managing Director of Economist Education, where she acts as the P&L leader for the executive education business, expanding the Group’s footprint in professional learning and corporate partnerships.
Prior to joining The Economist, Liz spent over a decade leading major digital transformations in the sports and media sectors. At Discovery Inc., she served as Group Vice President of Sports Product, managing digital services across 69 markets for brands like Eurosport and Discovery+, and notably delivered the first fully digital Olympics across Europe for the PyeongChang 2018 Winter Games. Her leadership history also includes key roles at Sky Sports and the London 2012 Olympics, where she managed the user experience and production for the official games website, serving millions of global users.
