VP of Product, American Express
Margaret Ryan is Vice President of Product Management, leading the Emerging Payments team in Amex Digital Labs, the company’s in-house innovation unit. In this role, Margaret manages a portfolio of products including mobile payments, commerce initiatives, and new payment products. During her ten-year tenure at Amex, she’s led the development and launch of new payment products across areas such as consumer checking, open banking, peer-to-peer (P2P), QR, and more. Most recently she led the team responsible for launching virtual card numbers in partnership with Google.
Margaret graduated from Williams College and received an MBA from Columbia Business School. Prior to business school, Margaret worked at Forrester Research. She currently lives in NYC and likes to decorate cakes in her spare time.
