Maria Parpou

Maria Parpou serves as Executive Vice President of Mastercard Gateway, where she leads a global multi-acquirer business spanning over 100 countries. Overseeing a SaaS platform with connectivity to more than 200 acquirers, she drives digital strategy and payment acceptance for merchants worldwide. Since joining Mastercard in 2022, she has focused on scaling the gateway’s capabilities to power seamless, secure digital commerce and innovation.

With over 25 years of experience in the payments industry, Maria previously served as SVP of Product at Paysafe and spent a significant tenure at Barclaycard, rising to Managing Director and Chief Product Officer for Commercial Payments. During her time at Barclays, she transformed the B2B payments landscape by launching innovative digital products and fostering key fintech partnerships. She began her career in management consulting at Booz Allen and holds an MBA from Alliance Manchester Business School.
