Product Leader at Google. Formerly at Yelp.
Meryam is deeply driven to bring rigor to my work and see my team excel. As an ex-quantitative analyst who built models forecasting the impact of quantitative easing on the U.S. economy, she believes that defining the problem they’re trying to solve is as important as solving it. As an
ex-community organizer, that's knocked on the doors of hundreds of strangers, Meryam knows empathy with my users and relationships is critical to building good Product. Currently, she’s a Product Manager at Google overseeing Bidding Strategies, working cross-functionally to guide Products from conception to launch by connecting the technical and business worlds, and working on new technologies, platforms, consumer-facing products, and/or enterprise systems. Prior to her current role, Meryam was a Product Manager at Yelp, overseeing Machine Learning for Ad Attribution and Geospatial Intelligence. She began her Management and Analyst career working at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. As a Rotational Analyst, Meryam was Product Manager for a new, regional analytics platform and Quantitative Analyst for Market Operations, Monitoring, and Analysis (MoMA): Portfolio Analytics. After nearly 2 years in that role, she went on to become a Senior Quantitative Policy and Markets Analyst, providing quantitative and written analytical support to the SOMA portfolio manager and the FOMC as it pursued the large-scale asset purchase programs. Meryam is always interested in having a conversation about Product, education, wellness, and learning from and teaching others.
