Peter Yang is a driven Product Manager and best-selling author. Currently, he’s a Senior Group Product Manager at Reddit where he helps creators build a community and make money on the site. He is also the leading product for their live audio conversations, Reddit Talk. Prior to this, he was a Staff Product Manager and Product Lead for the cards marketplace, Credit Karma's largest business vertical; growing revenue by defining and executing a strategy to become a trusted advisor to help our 100M+ members use cards to make financial progress. Before that, Peter was a Senior Product Manager at Twitch, where he was the Owner of the creator dashboard, analytics, and collaboration tools, and worked with multiple engineering teams and mentored junior PMs. He gained Product Marketing experience working at Microsoft, defining mobile and tablet advertising experiences at Skype, and drove $30M in revenues for Bing's local and mobile search ad products.
Then after nearly two years, Peter moved on to work at Facebook as Product Manager, having grown Facebook Live from scratch to millions of viewers by scaling notifications, News Feed, and other entry points, which led to the global rollout of Live to public figures, businesses, and people. Additionally, he tripled DAU over six months after doubling 30-day retention for Facebook Mentions (an app for public figures) by analyzing app usage and leading product growth tactics, helped ship the first iteration of Facebook Sports Stadium, and led the product team to define the roadmap, track metrics, expand sports coverage, and improve discovery. Most notably, Peter self-published his book, “Principles of Product Management” which has since become an Amazon bestseller.
