Ravi Turlapati

Ravi is a seasoned product leader, having delivered over 150 product feature launches encompassing a wide variety of areas. With a strong business focus, he currently leads the company’s efforts at Amazon Web Services and is launching a new AWS service having built it from scratch with a team of top technologists. Ravi has a vast experience delivering diverse functions such as expansion into new geographic areas, meeting varied compliance certifications, and building cloud-based products that have a high-quality bar for UX and APIs. Prior to his current position at Amazon Web Services, Ravi has spent over 4 years as a PM at Northern Trust Corporation, where he was responsible for all aspects of program delivery for a massive Hedge Fund Administration platform. Moreover, thanks to his entrepreneurial mindset, he truly excels in a fast-paced work environment. During his tenure of over 6 years as a Global Apps Manager at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Ravi successfully delivered changes to increase operational efficiency and solved low-latency challenges critical for high-frequency trading environments. On top of his professional endeavors, Ravi is also an avid volunteer; as part of the international non-profit organization, Asha for Education, he organized concerts in Chicago and led the fundraising effort for a Partner Charity of Chicago Marathon for two consecutive years. He has an MBA from Northwestern University, a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Chicago, and a Bachelor of Engineering from the Indian Institute of Information Technology Calcutta.
