Rekha is a results-driven Product Leader who specializes in Data Science and Machine Learning. She is currently working on Product at Microsoft. Before this role, she led data strategy for Walmart's next-generation Fulfillment Centers and forecasting for their Integrated Planning as a Product Manager in the eCommerce department.
Her career really kicked off when she began working at Verizon. She started off with three different internships, first as a Data Analyst, later a Data Engineer, and lastly a Product Manager. She then joined the team officially as an ML Product Manager, leading the vision for their Retail Optimization and Interactive Voice Response Products. After just over a year in this role, she became a Data Scientist, creating algorithms to predict propensities of their network usage for the 2018 World Cup. She also built a risk-scoring methodology that racked potential risks to cell sites during natural disasters.
For the past two years, Rekha has volunteered her free time to Women In Product, an organization dedicated to giving women all the tools they need to thrive in Product Management careers of any level. She was also a part of the Speaker Review Committee during their 2020 Virtual Women in Product Conference.
Rekha attended Rutgers University in New Jersey. She double majored in Computer Science and Information Technology and Informatics, with a Minor in Entrepreneurship. She was a member of the Women in Computer Science and the Women in IT societies as well as a part of the Rutgers Entrepreneurial Society.
