Robby Stein

Robby Stein is a distinguished product executive and the Vice President of Product for Google Search. He is currently steering the most significant shift in Search history: the transition to AI. Robby oversees a massive portfolio that includes AI Overviews, Google Lens, and the new AI Mode, which has already scaled to 75 million daily active users. His leadership is focused on evolving Search into a multimodal, conversational system that uses Gemini to synthesize the world’s information and solve complex human challenges at a scale of billions of users.

Before returning to Google, Robby was the Head of Consumer Product at Instagram, where he led the teams that built and launched Stories and Reels, fundamentally transforming how a generation connects and shares. Robby is also a successful entrepreneur; he was the co-founder and CEO of Stamped, which was acquired by Yahoo in 2012. He began his career at Google and is a graduate of Northwestern University.
