Rocio worked as a Senior Product Manager at Amazon for just under five years. She began working on Replenishment Services, later moved onto Prime, and most recently worked on products for Consumer Org. Before these roles, she was a Senior Marketing Manager for Amazon Handmade, where she worked on the category launch in Mexico and Canada.
Prior to Amazon, she co-founded and was Head of Growth at Postal52, a marketing and digital strategy agency. There she worked on their goal of helping businesses grow through powerful, high-value customer relationships. Before that, she also co-founded Vinq.co, an online influencer marketplace for Latin America. She played a major role in building the product requirements and designing the go-to-market strategy. Her first entrepreneurial experience was in 2012 when she founded Blue Motion Interactive.
In addition, Rocio volunteers her time as a co-chair for Amazon's Diversity and Inclusion Team and as a Secretary for the company Latinos@Amazon ERG. She was also an eMentor with the Women's WorldWide Web where she inspired women entrepreneurs in Kenya through online exchanges. Moreover, she is the author of "Mentorship: How to Get a Mentor, Become a Mentor, and Drive an Effective Mentoring Relationship", a practical guide to making sense out of having a mentor and what that relationship can do for you and your career.
Rocio earned her Bachelor's degree in Marketing from the Instituto Tecnológico de Monterrey. During her studies, she spent a year abroad in Sweden where she further developed her international marketing skills. Rocio can also impressively speak six languages: French, English, German, Italian, Spanish, and some Swedish.
Her dedication towards her customers and leading her team has blown her colleagues away. She is a great team player and a go-getter. On top of that, she is dedicated, curious, and innovative. It is easy to see her passion for marketing in her quality work.
