Sonia Estevez

Sonia Estevez, Head of Product at Amazon, is a senior product leader with over 20 years of experience managing teams of 25+ in ideating, building, managing, and commercializing technologies, products, and services that delight B2B2C customers, drive revenue, and increase market share. Her expertise lies in building high-performing teams and fostering cross-functional collaboration. 

Most recently, as Head of Product of Alexa for Enterprise at Amazon, Sonia led teams of Product and Category managers in integrating Alexa on third-party devices like Samsung TVs and Sonos speakers globally. Prior to Amazon, she spent three years at Samsung managing the integration of content & services on Samsung mobile devices across major wireless carriers nationwide. She also spent 12 years building and scaling the team responsible for launching hundreds of mobile devices for Verizon.

Sonia began her career as a physical designer for cell phones, later transitioning to product management to bridge the communication gap she observed between business and engineering.

Sonia holds a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from MIT, a Masters from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, and an MBA from the Wharton School.  She also has multiple Executive Education Certificates from prestigious institutions including Harvard, Darden and Wharton.

An active supporter of educational initiatives, Sonia serves as an Educational Counselor for MIT and a mentor for HISPA (Hispanics Inspiring Students Performance & Achievement). She frequently shares her journey as a Latina in STEM at organization like L.O.V.E. (Latinas on the Verge of Excellence), and Latinos at Amazon. She is past Member of the Executive Board and East Region leader for WISE (Women in Samsung Electronics).
