With over a decade of experience leading Trust, Safety, and AI-driven product initiatives at some of the world’s most iconic tech companies, Suhas brings a wealth of expertise to the classroom. Currently the Head of Product for Community Safety at Snap Inc., Suhas oversees a cross-functional team spanning 150+ engineers and large-scale operations, building ML and GenAI-powered safety systems to protect over a billion users. His purview includes everything from parental controls and spam prevention to global compliance and generative AI risk.

Prior to Snap, Suhas held leadership roles at Airbnb, Amazon, and Lyft, driving product innovation across account integrity, identity, and safety at scale.

Tech security and business Product Management have long been the focus of Suhas' life. Studying in his native India, he earned a B. Tech from the National Institute of Technology, Karnataka for his work on elliptical curve cryptographic security. In 2015 he started a Technology and Business Consulting MBA from the University of Washington Bothell. He's furthered his academic interest by sitting on editorial and review boards for tech-security journals and conferences.

Life hasn't been all academics for Suhas, though. During his undergrad studies, he interned with Bosch developing software for three months. Following his degree, Suhas was hired by Microsoft in May 2010. During the eight years, he worked with the tech giant he held titles throughout Security Product Management departments. Among them were: Program Manager-Windows User Experience Team, Program Manager-Security and Identity, Program Manager-Core OS Security and Senior Program Manager - Identity Services Tools.
