Hotels Near Metropolitan Pavilion in New York

New York may be the city that never sleeps, but you probably want to get some shuteye before a full day of learning and networking. We’ve got you! This Midtown West hotel, features an impressive rooftop terrace, a sleek restaurant and bar, and funky, outer space design. Rooms are small, and the location on quiet 10th avenue is a further walk away than some of the other hotels suggested but it’s worth considering if you want to separate work from pleasure.

Gansevoort Hotel ($$$)


A shy 350 m from the Whitney Museum of American Art, is Gansevoort Meatpacking. The boutique hotel offers guests a flat-screen TV, fully-stocked mini-bar and L’Occitane en Provence bath amenitiesThis is a great option that have the budget and want to also use their accommodation for making connections, as there’s a rooftop restaurant and other spaces to wine and dine or simply network.

Holiday Inn Express – Chelsea an IHG Hotel ($$)


Located 325 m from Madison Square Garden, this Manhattan hotel comes with all the essentials you need for your stay. Rooms are modern, and come with WIFI, and a cable TV and work desk. Expect a daily continental breakfast or grab a coffee and bite nearby, as there are many options in between the hotel and event venue.

The Hotel Chelsea ($$$)


The Hotel Chelsea is located in New York, less than 1 km from Flatiron Building. Facilities include a restaurant, a 24-hour front desk and room service, along with free WiFi. it makes a great base for getting to Metropolitan Pavilion, as well as exploring the city.

This cafe serves freshly squeezed juices, coffee, bagels, açai bowls and more. Great spot if you want to grab something to go.

A health food restaurant owned by three siblings, dedicated to serving delicious and nutritious food. Expect BLT and chicken schnitzel sandwiches, brain bowls, and salads that go far beyond the usual tuna niçoise.

Jack’s Wife Freda ($$-$$$)

Lively bistro executing modern American cuisine in a casual setting. Tuck into crab cakes, chicken kebabs, steak and chips, lasagnas. They also serve sandwiches, salads and pastas.

A kosher-certified vegan bistro a 7 minute walk from Metropolitan Pavilion.  The cozy restaurant offers an innovative twist on classic American food with high quality plant-based ingredients and upscale presentation.

Travel & COVID Information

There are several ways to reach New York depending on where you are coming from, but planes and trains are the most common.

If you’re planning on coming by plane:

Here is a list of airports near New York:

  • JFK International (JFK)
  • Newark International (EWR)
  • LaGuardia (LGA)

Most of these airports are 1h away from New York City by public transport. JFK International and Newark International are the two most common airports for international flights. Here is some useful information on how to get from those airport into the city:

Note that travel times are often elevated in November ahead of Thanksgiving. We highly recommend following the directions on your plane ticket for how early to arrive at the airport. Expect long lines and flight delays.

If you’re planning on coming by train:

The following subway lines have stops near to Metropolitan Pavilion.

  • The No. 1 train; from the 18th St. stop, walk east to 125 W. 18th St.,
  • The No. 2 or 3 train; from the 14th St. stop, walk uptown (north) to 18th St. and 7th Avenue; turn right onto 18th St., and proceed east to 125 W. 18th St.
  • The A, C, or E train; from the 14th St. stop, walk uptown (north) on 8th Avenue to 18th St.; turn right onto 18th St., then, crossing over 7th Avenue, proceed to 125 W. 18th St.
  • The M, F or L train; from the 14th St. stop, walk uptown (north) on 6th Avenue to 18th St., then turn left onto 18th St. and proceed to 125 W. 18th St.
  • The No. 4, 5, 6, Q, R, N, or W train; from the 14th St. stop at Union Square, walk uptown to 18th St. and then proceed west to 125 W. 18th St.
